Enter Our Photo Competition to Support Farmers
June 3, 2019
With challenging times and uncertainty ahead, farmers are trying to plan for the unknown. This takes its toll and people need to know that they have someone to talk to and, most importantly, to seek help when they need it.
The Farming Community Network (FCN) provides this support, and we support the FCN. Like last year, we are producing a calendar and donating all profits from its sale to support FCN and the outstanding work its volunteers and helpline team provide.
And here’s where you come in! So get out your camera and enter our competition! Send photos that capture the truth and beauty of farming and UK agriculture to email@example.com or tweet us @NSF_Agriculture. NSF International’s Agriculture Director Anita Roberts said, “Following on from a successful 2018 ‘funny side of farming’ photo competition, I am delighted to continue supporting the FCN and the farming community as a whole. I hope this photo competition will bring just as many, if not more, smiles to the agriculture industry. Our work with FCN isn’t only to support the farming community but also to help promote the great British food they produce and how much hard work it takes. Bringing people together to back British farming and support the hard work famers go through to provide the food on our plate is our passion and we want to share it!”
As a global certification body that audits to a variety of farm assurance schemes in the UK, we have skilled teams that work to help farmers demonstrate the quality of what they produce. This covers animal welfare, food safety, traceability, provenance and environmental protection so that consumers can be confident that the food they eat is responsibly produced in a safe environment.
FCN is a voluntary organisation and charity. Since 1995, they have helped thousands of people deal with a variety of issues, including financial difficulties, animal disease, mental health and family disputes. The volunteers will "walk with" you and help you find a positive way through your problems - for as long as it is needed.
Entries will be accepted up until 13th December and winners will be notified within three working days of the decision.
