Here to Support You and Keep You Assured
April 8, 2020
The last few weeks have presented many challenges for the UK and no one has done a better job to look after us than our wonderful NHS and the food and farming supply chain.
COVID-19 has meant that we had to stop all on-farm assessments as the risks were too great for both farmers and our assessors.
NSF have now moved all teams to home working, and we are so grateful that we have been able to keep going.
Here are some outlined changes to make sure you are up to date with some of the process updates.
Membership renewals have continued but unfortunately because we have no access to the post, we have been unable to process any payments by cheque. Our teams have been directly contacting farmers to help renew memberships using an alternative payment method.
If you need to renew your membership and usually pay by cheque, please call us on 01993 885739.
With not having access to our post, we have also had to look at other ways of closing out non-conformances. Again, we have been directly contacting farmers who need to close out non-conformances.
If you are waiting to close out non-conformances, please call us on 01993 885610 and the team will be there to help you.
We are unable to post crop stickers at the moment.
If you are having problems, please call 01993 885735 and the team will be able to tell you what you need to do.
How NSF Will Continue On-Farm Assessments
As being assured is so important, the NSF team have been looking at how we can continue our assessments without going on farm.
When your farm assessment is due, we will be in touch with you to explain your options.
If you are at all worried and would like to chat to someone about your assurance membership, please do give us a call on 01993 885739.
We continue to be very proud sponsors of the Farming Community Network (FCN).
If COVID-19 restrictions are having an impact on your business or the well-being of you and your family, FCN volunteers are always available to talk on the phone and help to arrange any support or assistance you may need. Please don’t hesitate to call 03000 111 999 anytime between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. FCN volunteers understand farming and can listen to you and help you think through your options.
The FCN e-helpline is also available by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please do look after yourselves and your families.
